In the run-up to Rosh Hashanah, the United Jewish Education Board (UJEB) hosted its annual “Meet the Beekeeper” morning, held in the Beth Weizmann Community Center’s town garden. Jonathan Landis from Chevra Honey brought a hive full of bees and the 25+ curious children learned all about where honey comes from, how bees make honey and even had a chance to taste fresh honey straight from the comb.
Itzik Sztokman, Executive Director of UJEB, said: “It is always wonderful to be able to bring members of the community, especially the children, together on these occasions leading up to Rosh Hashanah and the High Holidays.”
