Queen Consort Camilla, who keeps a private home

Queen Consort Camilla will continue to use her private home in Wiltshire.

The 75-year-old royal bought six-bedroom Ray Mill in Wiltshire – which is just a short distance from Highgrove, the private home of her husband King Charles – more than 25 years ago after divorcing her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles – and enjoys the relaxed environment of official housing, and she has no intention of selling the “cherished” apartment because it allows her to really switch off from public duties.

A source told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “Considering that Highgrove is the King’s most relaxed residence, even there you’re always surrounded by a team of private staff, including a cook, a butler and police officers on every corner, so there’s that no real private time.
